When drivers are looking for a vehicle straight from the factory that can go anywhere, there are a lot of acceptable options at dealerships or available to order. However, we have long suspected that the Ram Power Wagon heavy-duty off-roading truck was in the lead. Now we have proof that this model is a great answer for the question “What is the  best factory-ready off-roading truck?” This model not only comes with a plethora of off-roading features that can match driver needs in the desert or the forest, but it earned the Bone Stock Award at this year’s Rebelle Rally.

What is the Bone Stock Award?

The Bone Stock Award at the Rebelle Rally goes to the highest placing team in the competition who uses a vehicle with absolutely no aftermarket parts, or non-factory accessories or features (with the exception of the wheels and tires). While 36 teams competed in the 2017 Rebelle Rally, only 11 teams used a truck or SUV that qualified for this award. The 2017 Ram Power Wagon used by Team 4 Corners (consisting of Nena Barlow and Chris Mayne) not only met the factory-ready criteria, but helped this team take second place overall.

Who won the 2017 Rebelle Rally?

In its second year, the annual Rebelle Rally saw 36 all-woman teams competing in a grueling competition focused on GPS-free off-road navigation. The team of Kaleigh Hotchkiss and Teralin Petereit in a 1999 Jeep TJ took first place overall, with 1177 points. Nena Barlow and Chris Mayne in the 2017 Ram Power Wagon came in a very close second with 1177 points.

Ram Trucks at the Rebelle Rally

This is Nena Barlow’s second time taking a Ram truck on the Rebelle Rally. Last year she was in the Ram Rebel, and took third place overall in that team. The Ram Power Wagon and Ram Rebel are the heavy-duty and light-duty off-roading pickup options in the Ram lineup, and we are pleased to see how they have shown impressive capability year after year.
