Red, White and Boom!

Date: Thursday, July 4, 2019American flag and sparkler

Time: 6 am

Location: Father Hennepin Bluff Park, Southeast Main Street, Minneapolis, MN

Pack your sparklers and your sneakers – the annual Red, White & Boom! TC Half Marathon & Relay is back for its ninth year! The race kicks off at 6:00 am and is great for runners of all skill levels. The 13.1-mile course loops through the city of Minneapolis, finishing at the American flag-lined Stone Arch Bridge. The event is followed by a post-race picnic with live music, food and activities. A massive firework display at 10 pm ends the festival with a bang.

Yoga at the Sculpture Garden

Date: Thursday, July 4, 2019

Time: 9 am – 10 am

Location: Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, 725 Vineland Place, Minneapolis, MN

Those looking for an unorthodox way to kick off the 4th will enjoy an early-morning yoga class in Minneapolis’ Sculpture Garden. The all-levels Vinyasa class it taught by Andy Craddock, the founder of the Twin Cities Yoga Cooperative. There’s no cost required to participate, but donations will be accepted

90’s Throwback River Cruise

Date / Time: 10 pm Wednesday, July 3, 2019 – 2 am Thursday, July 4, 2019

Location: Harriet Island, 200 Doctor Justus Ohage Boulevard, Saint Paul, MN 55107

Kickstart your Independence Day celebrations early this year with a nostalgic river cruise. Passengers travel back to the 90’s club scene with a blend of throwback hip-hop, R&B and dance music. Admission is just $40 per person and a buffet is provided on board!
