Commercial shoppers in the market for a full-size van need generous interior space, plenty of payload capacity, and unique features that can streamline and improve fleet use. The Ram ProMaster Cargo Van has long been able to offer these advantages, and now this full-size cargo van is even better. On the visual side, the ProMaster will now have a bold “RAM” branded grille that creates consistency with grille designs available on Ram trucks. On the practical side, 2019 Ram ProMaster payload and towing capabilities have both increased for the new model year.
2019 Ram ProMaster Payload and Towing
Both payload and towing will see an increase on the 2019 Ram ProMaster. The 2019 Ram ProMaster 3500 will now be able to haul up to 4,680 pounds, which is the highest payload of any Class 2 cargo van available today. Other models also excel, with the ProMaster 1500 being rated for up to 4,000 pounds and the ProMaster 2500 offering 4,230 pounds.
A 30 percent increase in towing capability and a new Trailer-tow Group feature package will allow the 2019 Ram ProMaster to tow up to 6,800 pounds when properly equipped.
Model Options on the 2019 Ram ProMaster
The Ram ProMaster has already been available in 1500, 2500 and 3500 models with variable roof heights, but a new low roof option on the 2500 and 3500 models, and a new high-roof option on the 3500 model will give businesses even more vehicles to meet their needs.
New Technology on the ProMaster Cargo Van
Real-time vehicle diagnostics, performance monitoring, and driver and vehicle tracking will all be available on the 2019 Ram ProMaster thanks to Ram Telematics, powered by Verizon Connect. This can help business owners understand their vehicle needs, and get the most value from their fleets. Interior LED lighting and a Vehicle System Interface Module (VSIM) with 54 total inputs will also be available to offer even easier upfitting.
